Arsenal will demand a transfer fee of at least £35million for Hector Bellerin this summer, according to a Mirror report.

The newspaper claims a formal approach from the La Liga giants could come next week, as Arsenal prepare for showdown negotiations with Bellerin, 22.

It is said Barcelona are unlikely to be willing to offer the £35million fee Arsenal want upfront, but they could meet it with add-ons.

The report also claims signing Bellerin is a “priority” for the Catalan giants, but they are in no rush to push a deal through and are set to let the Gunners stew over the summer.

This comes after Spanish media outlet RAC1 stated the Spanish right-back has agreed personal terms with Barcelona ahead of a potential move.

However, Sky Sports claimed on their transfer blog on Thursday (1.56pm) that the North London club were confident of holding onto the Spanish right-back.

The 22-year-old was a mainstay in Arsenals’ back line in the 2016/17 campaign, playing 42 league and cup games, and providing five assists.

He arrived at the Emirates in the summer of 2011 when he joined from Barcelona’s academy, and he has since made 115 appearances in all competitions.

Bellerin has been capped by Spain’s senior side on three occasions, and he last featured for the side in a 1-0 friendly defeat to Georgia in June of last year.
