Everton target Sandro Ramirez will fly into Liverpool on Monday to hold talks with the club over a prospective £5.2 million move, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper report on their website that the Toffees are moving quickly to secure a deal for the 21-year-old Malaga forward, after his prospective transfer to Atletico Madrid fell through, as reported by the Sun.

It is the second time that the club will have spoken with Sandro over a potential move, with IBTimes previously reporting that the Toffees had agreed terms before the player decided on a move to Madrid, rather than Merseyside.

However, the Court of Arbitration upheld the Spanish side’s transfer ban, leaving the Toffees in pole position to secure the striker’s signature.

The Spanish U-21 international enjoyed a prolific season for Malaga last season, scoring 16 goals in 31 games which helped the South Spain side to an 11th placed finish.

His impressive performances convinced Ronald Koeman to activate the forward’s £5.2 million release clause in his contract, and will now take the time to agree personal terms with the player.

The Merseyside club’s move for the striker comes after star man Romelu Lukaku confirmed he had reached an agreement to join another club, amid rumours of a big money move this summer.

As such, Koeman has been left with limited options up front, hence his move for the Malaga man early in the summer.
