Newcastle look set to completely change their options in defence as the club could sell all three of their recognised left-backs, according to the Chronicle.

The newspaper report on their website that the Magpies are looking to offload French full-back Massadio Haidara and versatile wing-back Achraf Lazaar this summer.

In addition, the Chroncile also claim that first choice left-back Paul Dummett could possibly leave the club, with Premier League rivals Stoke, Crystal Palace and West Brom said to be interested in securing a deal for the 25-year-old.

There is reported interested from France for Haidara, who has been at the club since 2013, while Lazaar is interested in a move to Spain or back to Italy, after arriving at St James’ Park from Palermo in the summer of 2016.

However, the report also says that the club would not be willing to let Welsh international Dummett depart St James’ Park before a replacement is brought in.

One potential replacement is Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs, with Rafael Benitez’s side named as firm favourites by bookies Ladbrokes to secure his signing.

However, the Evening Standard say the Magpies expect the Gunners to lower their £15 million asking price for the 27-year-old.

Manager Benitez has a reported £70 million transfer budget from owner Mike Ashley this summer, with funds from player sales increasing this accordingly.
