Premier League side Burnley are the new hot favourites to sign Leeds defender Charlie Taylor, according to the latest betting odds.

Leading bookmaker Sky Bet have priced the 23-year-old, whose contract expires at the end of this month, at 4/7 to make a switch to Turf Moor this summer.

Previously West Brom were leading the chase to land Taylor’s signature but Tony Pulis’ side are now priced at 4/1 alongside newly promoted Brighton.

It remains to be seen which club Taylor will be playing for next season but it has become obvious that he will be leaving Elland Road.

The left-back refused to play for his side on the last day of the Championship season, with the club’s former manager Garry Monk expressing his anger and frustration at the player.

Since Monk left the club, former Spain international Thomas Christiansen has taken over the reigns at the Yorkshire outfit.

With Taylor’s departure edging closer, it is highly likely that Christiansen will look to replace the club’s academy product during the summer transfer window.

During his career, Taylor has played for the likes of Fleetwood, York, Bradford and Scottish side Inverness but he has never played in the top tier of English football before.
