Leeds could secure the signing of explosive wide forward Hadi Sacko this week, according to Yorkshire Evening Post writer Lee Sobot.

The 23-year-old attacker spent the last campaign on loan at the Yorkshire giants from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon.

He proved a solid squad player in the side’s seventh placed finish, appearing 38 times in the Championship while returning two goals and four assists.

It now looks as though he could be moving to Leeds permanently and after Portuguese news outlet the Record reported on Sunday that the club had triggered a £1.7million purchase clause in his contract, Sobot has claimed on his own personal Twitter account that he could be a confirmed Whites player as early as this week.

Leeds do not currently have a manager after Garry Monk’s departure last week.

However, new owner Andrea Radrizzani watched the club’s performances at the back end of the last campaign and he will be keen to ensure that Monk’s departure won’t prevent the side from signing players such as Sacko.

The Yorkshire giants will be looking to progress from their seventh placed finish next season and it is likely that the Leeds hierarchy will want to stop any further disruption this summer.
