Young midfielder Ryan Christie has named forward Leigh Griffiths as Celtic’s “biggest moaner.”

The 22-year-old is currently on loan from the Glasgow giants at Aberdeen and will not be available to play when the two sides meet at Hampden Park for the Scottish Cup final.

However, having known both camps well the BBC have ran a feature where they ask Christie questions about both sides.

One of those questions asked “who was Celtic’s biggest moaner,” to which Christie responded with Griffiths’ name.

“At Celtic, the same. Leigh Griffiths, there’s a common theme with strikers here that if you don’t give them the ball near the goal then they won’t be happy,” told Christie to BBC Sport Scotland’s Facebook page.

Griffiths, 26, has been at Celtic for three years after signing from Wolves for an undisclosed fee in the 2014 winter window.

He has managed to return 85 goals and 35 assists in 143 appearances with the Hoops and has helped the club lift the Premiership title four times alongside two Scottish League Cup’s.

This season he hasn’t featured as heavily due to the summer addition of Moussa Dembele, but he has still managed to return 18 goals and 15 assists in 37 appearances in all competitions.

He is also likely to start against Aberdeen on Saturday due to an injury suffered by Dembele against rivals Rangers in April.

Celtic will be looking to lift their third trophy of the campaign at Hampden Park, while they will also be hoping to go the entirety of their domestic campaign unbeaten,
