Everton have tabled a second bid for QPR winger sensation Josh Bowler, according to Get West London.

The London-based website claims that the Merseysiders have upped their initial £3million offer for the teenage ace, 17.

Get West London report that Championship side QPR rejected Everton’s opening bid, amounting to £500,000 up front plus the rest in add-ons, on Tuesday.

The Premier League club have now returned to the negotiating table in an attempt to force the second-tier outfit into a sale.

It is not reported how much the fresh offer is worth, and QPR’s response is not known, but it demonstrates how keen Everton are to sign a player who first-team experience amounts to 21 minutes as a substitute in Rangers’ 4-0 defeat to Norwich two weeks ago in the final weekend of the Championship season.

Right-winger Bowler signed professional terms with QPR in February in a deal that runs until the summer of 2018.

Everton have showed in the last two transfer windows since Ronald Koeman took over as manager that they are prepared to spend big on youngsters who they regard as having huge potential.

Young forwards Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ademola Lookman arrived last summer and in January from Sheffield United and Charlton respectively and have been given many first-team opportunities.
