Paris Saint-Germain have been offered Porto stopper Iker Casillas despite being the subject of a Liverpool move, according to reports.

Spanish outlet AS claimed last week that the Reds had sorted a pre-contract agreement for the 36-year-old goalkeeper, after enduring a difficult two-year spell with Porto following his move from Real Madrid.

However, French newspaper L’Equipe claim Casillas has now been offered to Unai Emery’s French giants ahead of a decisive summer transfer window that could see the Spaniard jump ship.

It remains to be seen if PSG want to sign a new goalkeeper, with manager Emery already having to choose between Kevin Trapp and Alphonse Areola, while Salvatore Sirigu is on loan with Osasuna.

It is believed Casillas is open to a Premier League switch, as he looks to leave Porto following the Portuguese outfit’s failure to hold aloft the Liga NOS trophy this season.

Since ending his 16-year love affair with Madrid since his first-team debut in 1999, Casillas has been at fault for a number of high-profile between the sticks with Porto and has failed to win a trophy since his move.

Jurgen Klopp would be bringing in a goalkeeper used to winning silverware, with a World Cup winners’ medal as well as three Champions League triumphs highlights of a sparkling trophy cabinet.

Liverpool could be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper this summer, with doubts still surrounding the performances of duo Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius.
