West Ham United are the firm favourites to secure the signature of Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, according to the latest bookmaker odds.

Sky Bet have priced the Hammers at 3/1 to land the 27-year-old England international before the summer transfer window shuts.

Slaven Bilic’s side are currently ahead of a host of Premier League teams also interested in Sturridge with Arsenal priced at 8/1, newly-promoted Newcastle United at 9/1 and Tottenham at 12/1.

Paris Saint-Germain are the second favourites in the betting at 5/1.

West Ham found goals hard to come by this season with main striker Andy Carroll out for the majority of the campaign with an injury and attack-minded players such as Manuel Lanzini and Andre Ayew both failing to get into double figures.

Midfielder Michail Antonio finished the season as West Ham’s top goalscorer with only 10 goals to his name in all competitions.

Daniel Sturridge is someone who certainly guarantees goals and he demonstrated his natural goalscoring ability against the Hammers this season as he scored in Liverpool’s 4-0 victory at the London Stadium in the penultimate match of the league season.

Due to a combination of injuries and failing to impress Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, Sturridge has seen himself watching from the sidelines over the last two seasons but he has still managed to contribute when on the pitch, scoring 21 goals in all competitions for the Merseyside club since 2015.

The English striker enjoyed his best season during the 2013-14 campaign where he scored a total of 24 goals for Liverpool in all competitions.
