Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion)
Another big name arrival who Newcastle United should be targeting in the New Year is West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino who was linked with a St. James’ Park switch last January.
Denied an exit from The Hawthorns on multiple occasions to date, the 23-year-old has only managed three Premier League starts so far this season and with Salomon Rondon the first choice under Tony Pulis, expect Berahino to get itchy feet yet again.
Goalscoring hasn’t been the Magpies’ problem this term with Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic both in form but if Newcastle United are still on course in January, they should start thinking about Premier League potential strikers.
Berahino is certainly one of those and with the money that Newcastle United have available, surely they can make West Bromwich Albion sweat despite playing in an inferior division for now.
