Currently closing in on a return from injury, West Ham United are ready to sanction the January departure of Diafra Sakho following his comeback, report The Sun.
According to the story, the Senegalese international has been told he can leave London Stadium but Slaven Bilic’s side know he needs games in order to impress new suitors.
The report carried claims from a Hammers source, stating: “Diafra wants either a better contract or a move.
Last appearing for the Hammers against Stoke City back in May, a back injury has kept the former Metz striker out for the entirety of the current campaign.
In what is ultimately a shame for the player, Sakho started his West Ham United career impressively and currently boasts a goalscoring record of 15 goals in 44 Premier League appearances.
However, following an alleged bust up that David Gold later denied last year, it appears Sakho’s career in East London is winding down.
