According to reports from Here Is The City, West Ham have signed Arsenal and Liverpool target Havard Nordtveit on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old, who regularly captained Arsenal’s reserves squad during his three years at the Emirates before moving to Borussia Monchengladbach in 2011, revealed last month that he’ll return to the Premier League a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.

The Norway international, who has operated as a centre-half, a full-back and a defensive midfielder throughout his Bundesliga career, told Gladbach’s club’s website; “I’d like to leave it to my new team to announce, which we’ve agreed with regards to the current situation. I can say, however, that I’m going back to England.”
Former employers Arsenal alongside Liverpool and West Ham have all been linked with Nordtveit since the turn of 2016, but reports prior to his announcement suggested the versatile defensive ace was on the verge of sealing a free transfer to East London.
And Here Is The City exclusively claim that the 27-cap international will indeed join the Hammers ahead of next season, having already signed a pre-contract with Slaven Bilic’s side – who currently find themselves just two positions and three points away from a Champions League spot in the Premier League.
They quote an unnamed source as saying; “The deal is done, and has been put to bed – both parties are happy to have got it done and finalised. Of course, an injury could still scupper the deal as a pre-contract isn’t medical dependent but everyone is delighted to have got him.”
