According to reports from The Daily Mail, West Ham are ‘finalising’ a free transfer for Arsenal and Liverpool target Havard Nordtveit.
Gunners fans will already feel acquainted with the Borussia Monchengladbach ace. He spent four years in the Emirates youth ranks, regularly captaining Arsenal’s reserves team, before joining the Bundesliga outfit in summer 2011.

Recent reports have claimed Arsenal are looking to re-sign the 25-year-old on a free transfer, with his Gladbach contract set to expire at the end of the season, and Liverpool are believed to have also expressed an interest. Jurgen Klopp witnessed Nordtveit’s development from afar during his spell as Borussia Dortmund boss.
But according to The Daily Mail, West Ham look set to beat their rivals to the versatile Norway international’s signature as they ‘finalise’ a free transfer to East London.
Having operated as a full-back, a centre-half and a defensive midfielder throughout his Gladbach career, Nordtveit would add depth and Champions League experience to Slaven Bilic’s squad.
