According to TransferMarketWeb, Arsenal are in talks to sign defensive midfielder Walace Souza Silva for £6.5million; whilst Goal report that Radamel Falcao rejected two offers from the Chinese Super League during the winter transfer window.

The 20-year-old has been in fine form for Gremio this season and according to TransferMarketWeb is likely to be issued his first senior cap for Brazil during the next round of international fixtures at the end of the month, when Dunga’s side face South American neighbours Uruguay and Paraguay.

Fiorentina and Benfica have both expressed an interest in signing the 6 foot 2 starlet during the summer transfer window but TMW claim Arsenal are already in talks over a potential deal, believed to be worth around £6.5million, as Arsene Wenger prepares for a huge overhaul of his midfield options.

Meanwhile, Goal report that loan flop Radamel Falcao rejected two offers to leave Chelsea during the winter transfer window, both from Chinese Super League clubs. The Colombian international has managed just one goal and eleven appearances since signing from Monaco last summer, sidelined from November onwards with a thigh injury.

As quoted by Goal, he recently told El Tiempo; “It is true that I had two different offers to move to China, but I stayed in England to give myself another opportunity. Going there would have been the easiest way out because it was a great offer, but I preferred to stay here and fight [for a place].”

Chelsea’s clause to acquire the 30-year-old for a whopping £38million expires at the end of next month.
