According to reports from Mirror Football, Manchester United are escalating their interest in Atletico Madrid starlet Saul Niguez.
The 21-year-old is rated as one of the most exciting prospects in La Liga and is famed for his versatility, having featured as a centre-back, a wide midfielder, a central midfielder and a No.10 during his 21 league outings for Atletico Madrid this season.

Arsenal reportedly came close to signing the Spaniard during the January transfer window, but the Mattress Makers blocked the deal following a season-ending injury to fellow midfielder Tiago Mendes.
That appears to have allowed Manchester United to muscle their way to the front of the queue for Niguez’ signature. They held talks over a possible transfer in January and according to Mirror Football, are now stepping up their interest amid news the youngster has rejected a contract offer at Vincente Calderon.
His current deal is set to expire in 2020 but includes a £25million release clause that the Red Devils now appear ready to activate.
