Indeed, the 6 foot 3 centre-back is powerful and aerially dominant but also notably quick and has played a real hand in West Ham’s defensive triumphs this term; all but one of their nine Premier League clean sheets have come during Ogbonna’s 17 league outings.
The Times claim the 27-year-old’s impressive form in England, combined with his top-level experience with Juventus, has attracted interest from two of the Premier League’s biggest clubs in Manchester City and Manchester United.
Both clubs are expected to administer serious changes to the heart of defence in the coming transfer window and Ogbonna is quickly emerging as a preferred target. But the East London side will be reluctant to sell a key player ahead of their historic move to the Olympic Stadium.
