The Chilean gaffer unexpectedly revealed on deadline day that he’ll vacate the Etihad hot seat at the end of the season to make way for Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola.

Chelsea were later linked with a shock swoop for the 63-year-old, who boasts the third-best win rate throughout Premier League history and is one of just two current top-flight managers to have already won the title, whilst Pellegrini’s agent has suggested he would be open to taking over at Manchester United as well.
As quoted by The Daily Star, representative Jesus Martinez recently told The Sun; “The Premier League remains the most exciting for him. He has spent three wonderful years (at City) and he is crazy about this competition.
“He will listen and discuss the offers he gets and then will make a decision. Right now he has not had any offers on the table. He is open to all kind of challenges, not just at Chelsea, United or the rest of the big teams.”
Valencia has also been mooted as a potential next destination for the former Villarreal and Real Madrid boss, who is still in contention to lift four trophies with the Citizens this season.
