According to The Daily Mail, Watford have launched a bid for Liverpool striker Jerome Sinclair; whilst BBC Sport report that Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts is on the verge of a loan move to Celtic.

The 19-year-old is rated as one of the Reds’ most promising youngsters – recently finding the net in an FA Cup outing against Exeter City. But the teenage striker’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season and without a new deal in sight, he resultantly looks set to leave Anfield.

Watford are known admirers of the former England U17 and after reportedly holding talks with Liverpool earlier this week, The Daily Mail claim they’ve now launched an official bid. However, it is believed to be worth less than the Merseyside outfit’s £3million valuation.

Meanwhile, BBC Sport report that Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts is set to join Celtic on loan.

The England U19 moved to the Etihad Stadium from Fulham in a £10million deal last summer but has seen just four minutes worth of action in the top flight so far this season, alongside two substitute outings in the Capital One Cup.

Earlier this week, the teenage winger held talks with the Scottish champions over a potential move and according to BBC Sport, it’s now on the verge of completion. Roberts will spend the next 18 months at Parkhead, should he pass a medical scheduled for this weekend.
