Ben Chilwell

According to reports from The Sun, Arsenal are preparing an improved £4million bid for Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur target Ben Chilwell.

The Leicester City left-back has made just three senior appearances for the Foxes – two of which came against Spurs in the FA Cup – and is still waiting for his Premier League debut after returning to the King Power Stadium from an eight-game loan spell with Championship outfit Huddersfield.

But widely regarded as one of English football’s most exciting prospects, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham have been looking to prize the 19-year-old away from the Midlands club for some time. The Gunners saw a £3.5million bid rejected last summer, whilst the Reds were tipped to launch an offer earlier this month and Spurs’ interest is well-documented.

According to The Sun, Arsenal are hoping an improved £4million offer for the Milton-Keynes-born prodigy will convince Leicester to sell, especially now that fellow left-back Jeffrey Schlupp is expected to return from injury after this weekend, beating Liverpool and Spurs to his signature in the process.

That could well spell the end of Kieran Gibbs’ Emirates career, but Claudio Ranieri’s side are preparing an improved contract for Chilwell, who currently takes home just £800 per week, in a bid to fend off interest from their Premier League rivals.

Stay at City…coming from a Spurs fan

Mr Levy is always too slow to buy players when we need them. He seems only to look for a Bargain. Spurs need another good Defender and 2 Strikers if they want to stay in the Top 4.
We have our Top Defender Injured and if the same happens to Kane we are in big trouble. Our big mistake has been selling our Best Players and replacing them with those that unfortunately do not perform for SPURS. Spurs need to improve their defense of Corners and their attack from corners. You can bet on Spurs not scoring from a corner. This could be easily reversed by sensible positioning of players and the right ball in from the corner. At present giving Spurs a corner is the same as giving a Goal kick to the opposition.

I think Liverpool has a good left back coming through with Smith, also Flanaghan played in that position really well so I would save the money.
