According to reports from Bild, Arsenal and Chelsea target Granit Xhaka is topping the list of players Jurgen Klopp wants to bring to Liverpool during the summer transfer window.
The Switzerland international has been in fine form for Borussia Monchengladbach this season, netting three times in 15 Bundesliga appearances whilst averaging 2.3 tackles, 3.1 interceptions and a whopping 81 successful passes per match.

Arsenal and Chelsea are both known admirers of the 23-year-old; the latter club were linked earlier this month, whilst The Gunners’ interest stems back to November.
But Liverpool have also been regularly mooted as potential suitors over the last few months and the latest reports from Bild suggest they’re currently the Premier League’s most proactive in courting Xhaka’s signature.
According to the German publication, the deep-lying playmaker is Jurgen Klopp’s priority pick of summer signings and the Liverpool boss has already met up with his agent, Andy Gross, to discuss a potential Anfield move.

Gladbach seem likely to sell at the end of season. Director of Football Max Eberl hinted as much earlier this month and Xhaka’s contract is known to include a £22.7million release clause for summer 2017 – meaning the club are running out of time to secure a larger fee.
Prior reports have claimed Liverpool are prepared to bid around £37million for the 6 foot 1 centre-mid.
