2. Thomas Muller

According to reports from The Daily Mail this afternoon, Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has warned Manchester United to stop sending him emails inquiring into the availability of Thomas Muller.

The German international, who bagged 10 goals during the last two World Cups and helped fire Bayern to the Champions League title in 2013, was the Red Devils’ priority target during the summer transfer window.

Reports claim they may have launched a bid worth as much as £88million to try and convince Bayern to part with the 6 foot 1 star, whilst ‘super agent’ Giovanni Branchini revealed earlier this month that United tried ‘at all costs‘ to sign him in the summer.

The Bavarians, however, rejected the Red Devils’ advances and chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has now fired a warning shot after apparently having enough of the Premier League outfit’s persistent enquiries.

As quoted by The Mail, he said following Bayern Munich’s 5-1 win over Borussia Dortmund on Sunday; “I am not a banker. We are a football club. That is why we never even considered selling Thomas Muller.

“I told my colleagues at Manchester United: “I cannot close down my email account, but you no longer need to send me anything. It is useless.”
