Sofiane Feghouli

According to reports from Spanish publication Fichajes, scouts from Chelsea and Manchester United were spotted running the rule over Valencia midfielder Sofiane Feghouli on Saturday.

The 35-cap international, who scored Algeria’s first World Cup goal in 28 years during a 2-1 defeat to Belgium at Brazil 2014, boasts 29 goals in 182 appearances for the La Liga outfit – including two strikes in the Champions League this season.

His contract is set to expire at the end of the campaign and although the 25 year-old is allegedly open to signing a new deal, the ambiguity over his future has inevitably generated interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.

Indeed, Fichajes claim scouts from Inter Milan, Chelsea and Manchester United watched the winger in action during a 3-0 win over Malaga last weekend, where he entered the fray from the subs bench after 73 minutes, whilst Ligue 1 champions PSG are also interested.

Unless Valencia tie Feghouli down to an extended deal beforehand, he’ll be allowed to agree a summer move to a foreign club on pre-contract terms from January 1st.
