Theo Walcott

According to reports from The Daily Star yesterday afternoon, Arsenal and Chelsea are both targeting FC Zurich prodigy Nishan Burkart.

The teenage prospect, aged just 15, has been compared in style to the Gunners’ Theo Walcott and much like the England international is equally at home up front or on the wing.

Arsenal and Chelsea are both amongst the Premier League’s most proficient recruiters in regards to young talent; Gunners gaffer Arsene Wenger is famed for his insistence upon giving youngsters the necessary game time to develop into world stars, whilst the Blues are continuously adding to their ever-expanding farming out operation, with 34 players currently on loan at other clubs.

And it appears Burkart is the next target on their agendas. He’ll be allowed to legally move clubs once turning 16 years of age in January, just in time for a feisty bidding war between the London rivals during the winter transfer window.
