According to reports from The Express this afternoon, PSG striker Edinson Cavani has set his sights on joining Premier League champions Chelsea next summer.
The Uruguay international boasts a rather sensational return of 65 goals in 111 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants, including 31 goals across all competitions and last term and nine since the start of the season.
The 28 year-old, who also bagged 104 goals in 138 appearances for former club Napoli, was repeatedly linked with Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United during the summer amid reports claiming he’d grown disillusioned with his secondary role to Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Parc de Princes.
But according to The Express, who cite Spanish publication Fichajes, Cavani has now snubbed long-term interest from both clubs in favour of a move to divisional rivals Chelsea next summer.
They claim the South American has already decided to leave at the end of the season but Chelsea will have to pay a £36.2million fee to sign him – around £20million less than the figure PSG invested in Cavani two summers ago.
