According to reports from The Telegraph yesterday evening, Chelsea could offer Everton one of their fringe players on loan as part of their next bid for defender John Stones.
The England international has emerged as the most sought-after centre-back in the Premier League this summer with Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City all linked to his signature over the last few weeks.

The Premier League champions have already seen three bids rejected by the Toffees, the latest being worth around £30million, and it’s believed they’re now planning a fourth and final offer of £40million.
But amid concerns Manchester United could attempt to hijack any accepted offer at the last minute, The Telegraph believe Chelsea are considering including one of their players in their next bid for the 21 year-old to further sweeten the deal.
They claim wingers Victor Moses, Bertrand Traore and £23million January signing Juan Cuadrado are all in the frame to be offered to the Toffees on a year-long loan.
Trash. Like every other article you’ve ‘written’!
What exactly is so implausible about Chelsea offering a player on loan? I completely understand that you think John Stones won’t be sold this summer. In fact you could argue I’ve even taken it into account in this article, because at no point have I even mentioned the idea of Everton trying, wanting or preparing to sell Stones. This article only states that Chelsea are considering including a loan player in their next bid.
Now, what part of that do you disagree with exactly? Because every single newspaper thinks Chelsea are considering another bid. Every single newspaper thinks they’ve already had three bids rejected. And the Telegraph think Chelsea will offer a player on loan.
In fact, it’s only been made even more plausible by Chelsea agreeing a fee for Pedro, because at least one of those wingers mentioned in the article is now likely to leave Chelsea before the end of the transfer window.
