According to reports from The Daily Star this morning, Schalke have admitted they’ll consider offers for in-demand winger Julian Draxler; but have also warned that he won’t be allowed to leave ‘on the cheap’ this summer.
The 21 year-old is widely regarded as one of German football’s hottest prospects, having bagged 13 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions during the 2012/13 campaign and claimed the Bundesliga’s Young Player of the Year award a season later.

Reports earlier this summer alleged Schalke were looking to cash in on the German international in an effort to revitalise a squad that missed out on Champions League qualification at the end of last season.
Those rumours have since proved false, with the Miners rejecting a £17.5million bid from Juventus, but it’s believed to have put Draxler back on the radars of long-term admirers Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.
And according to The Star, Schalke Sporting Director Horst Heldt has admitted the club will ‘consider’ offers for the prodigious attacker, telling reporters; “If another offer comes in for Draxler, we will take it into consideration.”
However, he also insisted any transfer will have to be on the Veltins Arena outfit’s terms; “We will not let go of Julian on the cheap. And it is clear that there will be a moment where we are no longer willing to sell. We will not wait for an offer until Aug 31.”
