According to reports from The Express yesterday evening, Manchester United have launched a ‘huge bid’ for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
The 21 year-old was nothing short of phenomenal for the Lilywhites last season, emerging from the peripheries of the first team squad to become the top-scoring Englishman in the Premier League with 21 goals in 34 appearances.
That saw the 6 foot 2 centre-forward claim the PFA Young Player of the Year award as well as a spot in the PFA Team of the Year – and he also netted just 80 seconds into his England debut against Lithuania in March.

Manchester United were linked with a £40million bid for the Three Lions prodigy by Mirror Football in June. Spurs have since attempted to fend off interest by offering Kane the vice captaincy at White Hart Lane, whilst the striker himself has often dismissed reports of a big-money move to Old Trafford.
But according to The Express, the Red Devils have now launched a ‘huge bid’ for the coveted striker. It follows reports from Spanish publication Marca and Kane’s surprise exclusion from the Spurs Xi that started against AC Milan in a pre-season friendly yesterday evening.
The commentator insinuated his absence was due to a bid from the 13-time Premier League champions.
