Gotze

According to reports from talkSPORT this afternoon, Arsenal and Manchester United target Mario Gotze has hinted he could leave Bayern Munich this summer.

The attacking midfielder is perhaps best famed for his sensational winning volley in last summer’s World Cup final, securing Germany a 1-0 victory over Argentina in extra time.

But at club level, Gotze has struggled since swapping Borussia Dortmund for Bayern Munich two summers ago. Despite bagging 30 goals in 93 appearances across all competitions, manager Pep Guardiola has often excluded him from the Bavarians’ most important fixtures.

That lead agent Volker Struth to claim last month that Guardiola has ‘destroyed’ his client, resulting in reports of rumoured interest from Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

And the 23 year-old has now added further fuel to speculation by hinting his future at the Allainz Arena remains undecided, with less than a month of the summer transfer window remaining.

As quoted by talkSPORT, he told reporters after his involvement in the Audi Cup; “The last two years were definitely not very simple, we’ll see what happens. It will work out if Guardiola talks to me more often. I’m going to let everything come to me. Anything beyond that, we’ll see.”
