According to reports from Sky Sports this morning, Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has insisted Manchester United target Sadio Mane and Tottenham Hotspur target Victor Wanyama won’t be allowed to leave the club this summer.

Senegal forward Mane has hugely impressed since arriving at St. Mary’s twelve months ago, going on to bag 10 goals in 30 league appearances during his debut season – including the fastest hat-trick in Premier League history in a 6-1 thumping of Aston Villa.

He’s emerged as a target for the Red Devils after they missed out on Barcelona star Pedro, who is now officially a Chelsea player.

Likewise, Tottenham are eyeing a deal for Southampton’s 6 foot 2 midfield juggernaut Victor Wanyama, who performed well under Mauricio Pochettino during their single season together on the south coast and has continued to show consistent form since the Argentine left for White Hart Lane last summer.

But following the Saints’ 1-1 draw with Midtjylland in last night’s Europa League qualifier, manager Ronald Koeman has issued a hands off warning to potential suitors of both players.

He said; “There is no bid for any player. Not for Wanyama, not for Sadio, not anyone. We have to deal with rumours of the press and maybe somebody of Manchester [United] – I don’t know.

“There is no contact and no bid for nobody and we don’t sell any more players. That is very clear in my opinion. I don’t like [these rumours] because maybe players are thinking and they are not then focused on what they have to do.”

However, Manchester United are still expected to launch a bid around the £15million mark for Mane.
