According to reports from The Telegraph this morning, Manchester United are considering a move for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann after missing out on Barcelona star Pedro.
Manchester United seemed set to sign the 27 year-old at the start of the week, with Ed Woodward jetting off to Spain on Monday to try and conclude negotiations, but he’s now on the verge of joining the Premier League champions instead – and a deal could be completed by the end business today.

According to The Telegraph, the Red Devils are now considering Atletico Madrid’s highly-rated attacker Antoine Griezmann as a like-minded alternative to the Stamford Bridge-bound Spain international.
The 24 year-old only moved to Vincente Calderon last summer but his return since of 25 goals in 52 appearances has turned plenty of heads throughout Europe. United and Chelsea were both linked to the France international earlier this summer, whilst Juventus and Bayern Munich are believed to be fellow admirers.
The British newspaper claim the Red Devils have revived their interest after missing out on Pedro. But just a matter of days ago, Griezmann signed a new contract with the Mattress Makers – raising his release clause to a whopping £56.5million.
Should United decide to activate it, he’d become the second-most expensive player in Premier League history after now-PSG star Angel Di Maria.
