According to reports from The Express this morning, Arsenal have made contact with the agent of Barcelona star Pedro regarding a summer move to the Emirates.
The 27 year-old has done and won it all throughout his tenures with the Catalans and the Spanish national team, namely winning five La Liga titles, three Champions League titles, the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 European Championship.
But he’s struggled for game-time since the £75million arrival of Luis Suarez last summer, leading many to speculate he’d leave the Nou Camp in the current transfer window, with his contract due to expire at the end of next season.
The Spain international appeared to end speculation over his future last month by signing a contract extension until 2019, which included a £108million release clause.
But since then, French champions PSG and Liverpool have both been linked with bids for the 5 foot 6 attacker, whilst The Express claim his agent has now been contacted by Arsenal.
Despite the new contract, they claim the Nou Camp outfit are still willing to consider selling, with Arsenal and Liverpool preparing bids around the £15million mark.
