According to reports from AS.com yesterday evening, Manchester United have reached a verbal agreement over potential wages with priority centre-back target Sergio Ramos.

The 2010 World Cup winner’s future at the Bernabeu is shrouded in serious doubt after Barcelona presidential candidate Jordi Majo revealed he was offered Ramos as an ‘electoral asset’ for the club’s ballot earlier this month.

Since then, reports have claimed the Spain international is ‘desperate‘ to leave the Bernabeu, leading to a series of bids from Manchester United – the latest being allegedly worth just under £42million – who are in need of experience at the heart of defence.

Real Madrid have insisted the 29 year-old won’t be sold this summer on numerous occasions, but according to AS, he’s already reached a verbal agreement with the Red Devils over his salary, should a move go ahead.

The Spanish newspaper also claim Ramos will try and force through an Old Trafford move when he meets Los Blancos president Florentino Perez for crisis talks in China; with clubs from Guangzhou and Shanghai featuring in the next leg of Real’s pre-season tour.
