According to reports from talkSPORT this morning, Arsenal have edged ahead of rivals Chelsea in the race to sign Napoli star Jose Callejon.
The prolific winger boasts an impressive return of 26 goals in 75 Serie A appearances since moving to Italy from Real Madrid in summer 2013 and was the top scorer in the Coppa Italia as the Naples outfit lifted the 2013/14 title.

He could be set to leave the Naples outfit this summer, following their failure to qualify for the Champions League at the end of last season and the subsequent sacking of Rafa Benitez.
Arsenal were linked with the 28-year old earlier this month alongside Chelsea, who have allegedly held talks with Callejon already, whilst talkSPORT moot Liverpool as fellow potential suitors.
But according to the Sports Radio Station, who cite Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, it’s currently Arsenal who are the front-runners in the race to sign the 5 foot 10 attacker. Callejon’s contract is known to include an £18million release clause.
