According to reports from The Metro yesterday evening, Arsenal have taken Nantes prodigy Amine Harit on trial ahead of a potential summer move to the Emirates. 

The 18 year-old agreed an improved with the French club just a matter of months ago but he’s been on the radars of Arsenal and Manchester United for some time.

And although The Metro claim the Red Devils have been monitoring his progress, its the Gunners who have made the first move to attain his signature, inviting the Frenchman to join in with their pre-season training on a trial basis.

Harit, who is described as a small and technical midfielder in typical Gunners style, arrived in London earlier this week and partook in his first training session with the senior squad yesterday afternoon.

Should the north London outfit sign him permanently, the France U18 will join a number of compatriots at the Emirates, including star striker Olivier Giroud, midfielder Mathieu Flamini and defenders Mathieu Debuchy and Laurent Koscielny.
