Geoffrey Kondogbia

According to reports from The Express this afternoon, three Serie A clubs are targeting Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.

The 22 year-old enforcer has just come to the end of a strong campaign with the French big-spenders, averaging 3.1 tackles, 2.5 interceptions and 1.7 successful dribbles per match from his 23 Ligue 1 outings.

He also impressed in Europe as Monaco eliminated from the Champions League’s first knock-out round, scoring in a 3-1 win over the Gunners.

Resultantly, four top Premier League clubs have been linked with the France international in recent weeks, namely Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United – as This Is Futbol revealed earlier this month.

But it appears the 6 foot 2 defensive midfielder has attracted interest from Serie A as well. According to The Express, AC Milan, Juventus and Inter Milan are all locked in a feisty bidding war for Kondogbia’s services.

Citing Italian sources, they claim an £18million bid from Milan has already been trumped by city rivals Inter with a £20million offer, whilst Juve are considering Kondogbia as a potential replacement to Paul Pogba but are yet to make a formal bid.

As This Is Futbol revealed last week, however, Monaco value the former Sevilla star at closer to £25million.
