According to reports from AS this afternoon, Ukraine winger Yevhen Konoplyanka has revealed his desire to move to the Premier League this summer.
There’s plenty of interest in the Dnipro talisman, who reached the 2015 Europa League final with the Ukrainian outfit earlier this season, in no small part due his contract at the Dnipro-Arena coming to an end.
As This Is Futbol revealed in April, Liverpool and Tottenham are both long-term admirers of the 25 year-old and are allegedly interested in signing him on a free transfer this summer, whilst La Liga side Sevilla emerged as potential suitors earlier this month along with Stoke City – according to BBC Sport.
And in good news for his rumoured Premier League suitors, the three-time Ukrainian Player of the Year – who boasts 45 goals in 209 outings for Dnipro – has now labelled moving to the English top flight as his ‘priority’.
As quoted by Spanish publication AS, Konoplyanka recently revealed in an interview with channel Futbol 1; “My priority is to play in England. There is where I want to continue my career and I am going to do it.
“The clubs may meet with Dnipro, but I can only say what I am doing. Many other lies are told on the internet, those things do not have to be read.
“Everyone wants to say something new, to make an impact, although the truth is not being written,” he added.
