According to reports from The Daily Mail yesterday evening, West Bromwich Albion will make the club’s top scorer Saido Berahino one of their highest earners to prevent a summer move to Liverpool or Tottenham.
The 21 year-old exploded onto the Premier League scene last season with a stunning strike against Manchester United at Old Trafford and he’s continued to impress this year by bagging 14 goals in 37 Premier League appearances – including a brace against reigning champions Chelsea on Monday night.
The 5 foot 11 winger-forward has gained plenty of admirers over the last two campaigns – particularly Liverpool and Tottenham. Ahead of the January transfer window, both were reported to be considering £23.5million bids for the Burundi-born attacker by The Express.
But manager Tony Pulis is keen to retain Berahino, who won England U21s’ Player of the Year award for 2014, by making him one of the club’s top earners within the next few months. According to The Mail, he can expect around £50k per-week, which would put him on parity with No.1 Ben Foster.
Go get him !!!
GO GET HIM NOW !!!
Good stuff, always liked West Brom, hopefully he can be the spearhead of the Pulis revolution.
