According to reports from The Daily Mail yesterday evening, Atletico Madrid are reluctant to sell Chelsea and Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann this summer.

The France international moved to Vincente Calderon only last summer in a £24million deal, but his incredible form since – netting 25 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions – has attracted interest from long-term admirers Chelsea and Manchester United – as This Is Futbol revealed last month.

It has since been claimed the 25 year-old would be interested in joining Premier League champions Chelsea ahead of next season – as This Is Futbol revealed last week.

But The Daily Mail’s latest reports suggest it won’t be a series of smooth negotiations in the same manner that brought former Mattress Makers Diego Costa and Filipe Luis to Stamford Bridge last summer, with manager Diego Simeone reluctant to sell his top scorer.

That will force the Premier League duo to activate Griezmann’s release clause if they intend to sign him this summer. Currently, it stands at £43.5million.
