According to reports from BBC Sport yesterday evening, Raheem Sterling is expected to tell manager Brendan Rodgers he wants to leave Liverpool in the coming transfer window.

The fate of the 20 year-old winger, who boasts 16 goals and twelve assists in his last 68 Premier League appearances for Liverpool, has become one of the biggest talking points in English football over the last few months, following news in April that he’d turned down a £100k per-week contract extension at Anfield – as revealed in a candid interview with the BBC.

That lead to rumoured interest from Arsenal and Chelsea – as This Is Futbol revealed last month – but Manchester City, who are in desperate need of youthful home-grown talent, are considered to be his likeliest suitors, as claimed by Mirror Football.

The England international, who was crowned Europe’s Golden Boy of 2014, has also been spotted house hunting in London – as This Is Futbol revealed last week.

Liverpool have slapped Sterling with a £50million price-tag in a bid to ward off potential suitors as his contract dispute continues – as The Telegraph reported in April – also informing the prodigious attacker they’re willing to let his £35k per-week deal wind down until next summer, when it will have just one season remaining.

But BBC Sport now claim Sterling will demand an Anfield exit in the coming transfer window when he meets with Liverpool’s chief executive Ian Ayre on Friday. They also speculate the Reds could accept bids at £15million less than their rumoured valuation.

Jesus Murphy Liverpool are gonna start Walcott up front next season (when Sturridge isn’t injured)
