PL champs, Arsenal and Man United in £45m tussle for Spain star

|

Isco

According to reports from The Express yesterday afternoon, Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are considering summer bids for Real Madrid midfielder Isco.

The 23 year-old has played an important role in the Los Blancos squad this season, managing 51 appearances across all competitions and scoring on six occasions.

But his place in the starting Xi is largely dependent upon the fitness of the Bernabeu outfit’s more coveted stars – namely James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos – which is believed to have caused a rift between the Spain international and manager Carlo Ancelotti – as Mirror Football reported last week.

Isco believes he’s being held at different standards to the rest of the team – particularly in terms of work-rate – whilst Ancelotti is concerned recent praise in the media has gone to the midfielder’s head.

The defeat to Juventus in last night’s Champions League semi-final will only further exacerbate tensions in the Spanish capital – but even before yesterday’s elimination, The Express claimed Arsenal were preparing a £45million bid, with Chelsea and Man United not far behind.

Mirror Football, however, believe Isco will likely outlast the under-fire Ancelotti.
