Yannick Bolasie

According to reports from The Daily Mail yesterday evening, Everton will contest local rivals Liverpool for the signature of Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie this summer.

The DR Congo international is amid a fine campaign that’s seen him claim four goals and six assists in 30 Premier League appearances – including a hat-trick against Sunderland three weekends ago – and looks ready to test himself at a higher level.

As This Is Futbol revealed earlier this month, Eagles boss Alan Pardew rated the 25 year-old at a whopping £20million following rumours of a £10million bid from the Anfield outfit.

And last week he candidly doubled that figure yet again, claiming “I’ll sell Yannick, if someone wants to give me £40m to £60m, somewhere in there, that would be good,” as reported by Sky Sports News.

But that hasn’t nullified Everton’s interest in the tricky winger. In fact, The Daily Mail claim Newcastle United and Stoke City are also considering summer bids. They’re unlikely to match Pardew’s lofty valuation, however, with the British tabloid speculating offers closer to the £10million mark.
