Could Manchester United really pull off this sensational deal?

Andres IniestaMuch has been made of Manchester United’s poor start to the season. And whilst the fact that the club is currently eighth in the Premier League table is hard to take, United have faced a tough fixture list and David Moyes does need some time to adjust to his new surroundings.

I understand the frustration of United fans. What I don’t understand, is all the ‘#MoyesOut’ hysteria. This attitude often has a negative effect on players and can suck the life out of match-day performances. It’s just not healthy. Is it so much to ask that fans wait until the end of the season before brandishing their pitchforks?

Having said that, it does seem as though January can’t come quickly enough for Manchester United. Throughout the summer, it was clear that David Moyes was on the hunt for a creative midfielder. Unfortunately, he came up empty-handed.

Instead, he brought in Marouane Fellaini, a defensive midfielder. Suffice to say, David Moyes has plenty more work to do when the January transfer window re-opens. Who knows, if he makes a couple of smart signings, he could even drag the club back into contention this year.

Wouldn’t it be something if Manchester United could bring in a player like Andres Iniesta? According to The Star, the Spanish ace has turned down a new contract with Barcelona as he’s unhappy with the new terms he’s been offered.

It’s thought that he’s been offered a ‘double-your-money-deal’ worth £200k-a-week. Apparently this isn’t enough. This could leave the door open for Manchester United to sneak in and tempt him away.

Of course, it would take a huge sum of money to tempt Barcelona into selling. But the current situation and the player’s age (he’s now 29-years-old) may make the La Liga club more open to negotiations than they have been in the past.

When it comes to players like Andres Iniesta, it’s certainly worth testing the water and seeing if Barca bite. Imagine the impact that Andres Iniesta would have in the Premier League.

Yes, the January transfer window is still some way off, but given United’s slow start to the season, it makes sense to start planning now. Andres Iniesta is the kind of world-class talent that United needs.

David Moyes failed in negotiations to sign Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas. Let’s hope his second attempt to sign a Barca player are somewhat more fruitful.

What’s your take? Could Manchester United really pull off a sensational deal for Andres Iniesta?

C’mon lads Dnt b silly iniesta is never going to leave Barca he is going to retire there like Messi and xavi. That’s like saying Man U are selling van persie. Bullshit story.
We need to get realistic cuz he will sign a new contract like ronaldo did!

We need to get rid of young, Welbeck Valencia and Anderson and get 1 world class midfielder
We got nani Zaha giggs and januzaj for the wing and Rooney RVP and Chico strikers.
Oh yeh moyes needs to go cuz he is trying to make united play like Everton boring football.
We lost to city and I wonder why moyes never played Zaha or januzaj atleast they wud of created some chances, not like young who gave the ball away and let the opposition score.
Young has never been gud enuf!
I like to see mourinho manage united.
And finally we defiantly ain’t winning shiitt this year!
