According to reports from Mirror Football, Liverpool will look to sell West Ham strike target Christian Benteke for £25million during the summer transfer window.

The Belgium international moved to Anfield in a £32.5million transfer last summer after netting 49 times across three campaigns for Aston Villa, but he’s struggled to transition that level of netting prowess to Merseyside and has found himself out of favour since Jurgen Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers as Reds boss in October.

Indeed, the 25-year-old has been issued just seven Premier League starts by Klopp – only two more than he managed under Rodgers at the start of the season – and was the target of the German gaffer’s frustrations as Liverpool threw away a two-goal lead to lose to Southampton on Sunday.

The Reds are now ready to offload Benteke during the summer transfer window according to Mirror Football, should a club meet their £25million valuation, and West Ham are known to be interested in acquiring the Belgian battering ram’s services.

However, Mirror Football also report on rivalled interest from Juventus, who allegedly attempted to sign the former Genk star during the January transfer window and are prepared to try again at the end of the season.
