Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in landing a summer transfer deal for RB Salzburg striker Noah Okafor.

The north London club have seen a significant number of new players make moves to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in recent years.

Looking ahead to the upcoming window, with Spurs fighting to secure a place in the Champions League next season, the Lilywhites find themselves in a battle with two of Europe’s biggest clubs to land a player who has shown how capable he is of playing against the elite sides.

According to a recent Twitter post from journalist Florian Plettenberg, Okafor, who is set to enter the final year of his contract at Salzburg this summer, is looking to move away from the Austrian club at the end of the season.

Plettenberg also added that Spurs, as well as the two Milan clubs, are interested in signing the player, who has a price tag of between €20-25m (£17-22m), and have made enquiries about him.

Having worked his way through the youth ranks at FC Basel and making 54 senior appearances for the club, the 22-year-old joined Salzburg back in the 2020 January transfer window.

Since then, the 22-year-old has made 108 appearances for his current side, finding the net 34 times and delivering 23 assists along the way.

Described as an “incredibly prolific” player by talent scout Jacek Kulig, Okafor has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 19 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga.

In addition to that, the Switzerland international has scored three goals in six Champions League matches against AC Milan, Chelsea and Dinamo Zagreb this term.

Moving forward, if Spurs end up finishing in the top four this season, we feel that they should do all they can to beat the two Milan clubs and secure Okafor’s signature, as his talent in front of goal could provide a massive boost to their attacking power.
