YouTube presenter Ger Lynch is expecting Mateusz Klich to be sold by Leeds United in January.

The midfielder has found game time hard to come by at Elland Road this season with him seemingly surplus to requirements under Jesse Marsch.

He has played just 188 minutes of Premier League football taking a back seat to summer arrivals Tyler Adams, Marc Roca and Brenden Aaronson.

Speculation in his native Poland began circling claiming that he was ‘determined’ to leave the club and Lynch feels that he will get his move when the market reopens.

Speaking on The View YouTube channel he said: (54:27) “I’d like him to stay. I would like him to get more minutes.

“I think he’s your no.10 but nobody outside of Bielsa playing him there a couple of times, most play him as an eight. I don’t think he’s a good enough eight. I don’t think he does the defensive side of the game particularly well.

“He’s a goalscoring midfielder, he’s got an eye for a cheeky pass. I would have him as your back-up no.10 to Aaronson. Rotate the two of them around if you can but I would be shocked if he’s not gone by the end of January.”

TIF Thoughts on Klich and Leeds…

Does Klich have a future at Leeds?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The 41-cap Pole is out of contract at the end of next season meaning the Whites will have to move him on sooner rather than later in order to obtain a fee.

However, at 32 that price isn’t likely to be too handsome.

It is a shame for Klich how things have panned out given that he scored four times and provided five assists as the west Yorkshire club enjoyed a fine return to the top flight back in 2020.

His importance to the side has since waned though and we are expecting him to be moved on by Leeds this winter as Lynch is anticipating.
