Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch’s touchline antics have been the topic of discussion on TalkSport with Tim Sherwood admitting the American would wind him up.

The Whites find themselves slumped down in 15th spot of the Premier League table having not picked up three points since August.

Marsch has now been at the helm of the Yorkshire club since the beginning of March and has done a satisfactory job to date having kept the Whites in the Premier League.

However, he has had a number of heated touchline incidents. One being his argument with Bruno Lage and another his recent sending-off during the heavy defeat against Brentford.

And speaking on TalkSport, the former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa manager has had his say on the Leeds boss’ antics from the dugout:

(8:00) “I’ll tell you the one at the moment and I think he’s a good character, Jesse Marsch would wind me up. You know, just looking at him. Just I sometimes I look at him and I think if I’m in the other dugout…”

“I think he’s very clever. I think he plays to that crowd base, that Elland Road crowd base and he knows if he gets them onside and they’re ahead of steam, it’s very difficult for the [other] team.”

TIF Thoughts on Sherwood’s comments…

It is certainly understandable that Marsch’s antics could wind some people from the opposing side up as he has shown he can express his emotions on the sideline.

Does Marsch ned to reign in his touchline antics?

Yes

Yes

No

No

However, it is perhaps difficult to see how Sherwood is able to suggest this when he is known for throwing his gilet to the ground in frustration during his managerial days at Spurs.

Marsch can overstep the mark at times, however, it is clear he is doing it out of pure passion for the Elland Road club. Although, it will be interesting to see if he has learned from his previous sending-off and reigns his passion in a touch.
