Journalist Dean Jones believes that Julen Lopetegui will be backed in the January transfer market if he is appointed by Wolves.

Following the sacking of Bruno Lage, Lopetegui emerged as the leading contender to fill the hotseat at Molineux.

The Spanish manager was recently relieved of his duties at Sevilla, but BBC Sport has reported that Wolves chairman Jeff Shi has flown out to discuss him taking up the reins in the West Midlands.

The same source suggests that Lopetegui is interested in the position, but the current wellbeing of his father has complicated matters.

Regardless of who is appointed, Jones believes that the new manager will be given the opportunity to make changes to the side when the market reopens this winter.

He told GiveMeSport“It’s a difficult squad in terms of the balance and how it’s currently made up. But if they’re going to bring in someone like Lopetegui, we also have to consider that means they’re going to go into the transfer market in January. I think he’ll also be given opportunities to make changes in the way that he feels will be needed.”

Despite Nathan Collins and Max Kilman being the club’s only senior options at centre-back, Wolves’ biggest problem is arguably in attack.

They have scored just three goals in their first nine Premier League matches, while their cause has not been helped by the serious knee injury sustained by summer arrival Sasa Kalajdzic in his first appearance.

Diego Costa has been brought in as a short-term fix, but if Raul Jimenez’s injury woes also persist, a fresh approach for a centre-forward could perhaps be required in January depending on how perilous a position the club find themselves in come the new year.

If Benitez will be at the lead of wolves, they take refuge in this season and maybe will be
in top 4 EPL in next season. At least wolves have chance with Benitez.
About the other coaches difficult to speak, after all needs work of coach with wolves.
While Benitez is free and such chance not always can fall out for wolves
