Presenter Dan Lawless has been left furious after it was revealed that West Ham United may install another barrier at the London Stadium.

According to a report from 6foot2, there is a chance that a second wall may soon be installed at the ground to separate home and away fans in the Sir Trevor Brooking lower stand.

It explains that this would potentially follow the ‘much-hated’ wall that has already been erected in the ground at a value of £117,000. West Ham Fan TV’s Lawless certainly wasn’t happy with the latest development and took to Twitter to make his feelings known in no uncertain terms, taking aim at the London Legacy Development Corporation over the prospective plans.

Indeed, he wrote: “There are teams in this league that have been playing in Europe for decades. None of them have installed any walls between fans. The LLDC are pathetic.”

TIF Thoughts on West Ham and the London Stadium…

Lawless wasn’t too pleased when the first wall went up at the start of the current Premier League season as he feared it would ruin the already poor atmosphere at the London Stadium and could make football not worth going to for West Ham fans.

However, club insider ExWHUemployee recently revealed that the club have no intention to remove the controversial barrier as it has significantly reduced the amount of arrests at the ground on matchdays.

With that in mind, it’s no great shock to hear that the venue may well be keen on installing a second wall. If they do, however, they will surely run the risk of upsetting more fans and damaging the atmosphere – but that may be a price worth paying if it does lower aggravation between supporters.
