Journalist Dean Jones feels that Tottenham are still waiting for Richarlison to get going at the club.

Jones was speaking to This is Futbol amid an injury setback for the Brazilian.

Following the Lilywhites’ win over Everton last weekend Richarlison was seen leaving the stadium on crutches after suffering a calf injury during the game.

The 25-year-old was visibly emotional with fears that he may miss the World Cup.

However, the forward himself removed all doubt as he took to Twitter to reveal that he had survived a ‘big scare’ and that he would be back in action in just two weeks.

The 37-cap Brazil international has been directly involved in five goals in eight starts but Jones believes he is still finding his feet.

He said:
“It didn’t look great at first, did it? That’ll be a big relief that he’ll be back soon. I don’t think we’ve seen the best of Richarlison yet. I think that they’re still trying to find the best way to get him firing in this team.”

Indeed, the news surrounding Richarlison’s injury update was described as ‘huge’ news by former goalkeeper Paul Robinson.

Against his former club on Saturday last it was just the £60m summer arrival’s fourth Premier League start of the campaign.

Antonio Conte has tended to prefer the 6ft attacker in the Champions League games as he been given the nod in each group game thus far.

With two goals and three assists in all competitions, he is averaging a goal return every 138 minutes and given that Dejan Kulusevski is also sidelined, Spurs supporters will be glad to see Richarlison making a swift return.
