It was a disappointing outing for Tottenham Hotspur in midweek as they fell to just their second Premier League defeat of the season.
Antonio Conte’s side travelled to Old Trafford on Wednesday evening off the back of consecutive Premier League wins.
However, they came unstuck against Manchester United and were simply inferior on their night.
Hugo Lloris was forced to make eight saves (SofaScore) and did well in truth to keep the scoreline at just 2-0.
Journalist Jonathan Veal also spotted Conte’s frustrations boiling over on the night as he appeared to lose it with one of his players.

Tottenham travelled to Manchester with the chance to go second and just a point off top spot with neither Manchester City nor Arsenal in action.
However, they were once again less than inspiring and found themselves undone by a better level of opposition.
Their ‘boring’ brand of football as it has been dubbed by Gabriel Agbonlahor has been enough to win seven league matches however five of those have come against sides placed 14th or lower in the table.
Bentancur on the night incidentally lost the ball 13 times with only three of his teammates giving it away more.
But looking at the bigger picture it was the kind of all-round performance that raises greater issues for Spurs and where exactly they lie this season.
